These Terms of Service govern your use of the Help Me If You Can service. By registering an account or posting a help request, you agree to these terms.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms govern the conditions, procedures, and responsibilities of users and the operator regarding use of "Help Me If You Can" (hereinafter "Service"), operated by an individual developer.
Article 2 (Definitions)
"Service" means helpmeifyoucan.vercel.app and related mobile web pages that allow users to post and search location-based SOS pins on a map. "User" means any person who accesses the Service and agrees to these Terms. "Help Request" means a location-based SOS pin posted by a user. "Operator" means the individual developer who operates and manages the Service.
Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)
These Terms take effect upon publication on the Service. The Operator will notify users of any changes at least 7 days prior to the effective date via a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of amended Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
Article 4 (Use of the Service)
The Service is provided free of charge and is principally available 24 hours a day for posting and searching location-based SOS requests. However, the Service may be temporarily suspended due to system maintenance, failure, force majeure, or other reasons.
Article 5 (User Obligations and Prohibited Conduct)
Users must not engage in any of the following activities:
- Posting requests motivated by sexual intent, including dating, hookups, or soliciting romantic encounters
- Posting requests for non-emergency labor such as errands, delivery, queuing, or proxy purchasing
- Illegal activities involving minors, including proxy purchase of tobacco or alcohol
- Trading or promoting use of narcotics, psychotropic substances, or hallucinogens
- Fraud, violence, threats, stalking, or other unlawful acts
- Posting false emergency situations
- Unauthorized collection or sharing of other users' personal information
Article 6 (Operator Disclaimer)
The Operator bears no responsibility for: (1) Harm arising from in-person meetings, contact, or transactions between users — the Service is solely an information posting platform and does not broker or guarantee interactions. (2) The truthfulness or accuracy of help requests — the Operator does not verify the content users post. (3) Service interruptions or data loss caused by force majeure, network failures, or system maintenance. (4) Damages suffered by third parties as a result of a user's violation of these Terms.
Article 7 (Privacy)
User location data is stored after rounding to 3 decimal places (approximately ±100 m), so exact locations are never exposed. For all other matters relating to personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy. Privacy Policy
Article 8 (Account Sanctions)
Upon confirmed violation of these Terms, automatic moderation or operator review may block a user's ability to post requests. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or deletion. For detailed conduct guidelines, please refer to our Community Guidelines. Community Guidelines
Article 9 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes arising from use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Central District Court as the court of first instance.
Supplementary Provision
These Terms take effect on May 13, 2026.
